Laura is the Owner and Founder of Partner in Risk Inc. The company mission is to bring large company risk techniques to small and medium companies without breaking the budget.

 

Our vision is to help companies build a risk aware culture.

 

• Risk Register: Based on the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework. Includes risk identification and risk analysis. Interviews, facilitation, mitigations, and reports which would include risk treatment options.

 

• Optional Services: Risk policy, risk process diagram, facilitation only. Do-It-Yourself risk register on SharePoint. Annual monitoring after risk register is in place for current clients of DTD Management.

 

• Business continuity plans or documentation of pandemic plans: The risk analysis may show that there are gaps even after mitigation. Business continuity plans may need to be developed.

 

• Vendor Verification: We help you interpret your subcontractors’ certificate of insurance. So that they have the correct insurance limits to meet your contractual requirements.

 

 

Laura’s 20-year career includes ten years in risk management, and risk assessment for an international firm. As a member of a pandemic planning team in 2008, she has experience looking at emerging risks and determining mitigations for risks that could change in an instant. She has managed a risk assessment process twice a year for ten years which culminated in a risk report to the risk committee. Risk assessment follows ISO 31000:2018 guidelines.

 

In 2015, she earned her Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. Laura has earned an MBA in 1999 from the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary.
