Darren is a senior financial leader with experience in public and private entities.

 

Darren is an accomplished finance executive with over 25 years of financial and accounting experience, including ten years as a CFO and ten years as a Controller. Darren’s experience is largely from a multi-company environment with both public and private entities that required a focus on process efficiencies and cash flow optimization. He has a hands-on approach, with involvement from accounts payable and collections to financial statements and board reporting.

 

Darren has a unique compliance background with experience in joint venture and internal audit, which helped develop his exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Other key competencies include team leadership, financial planning, budgeting, financial and management reporting, treasury and risk management. Darren has also been involved in numerous business development opportunities with roles in negotiation, evaluation and integration.

 

Darren has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA).
